everyone talking about barack like he's some kinda savior.i mean i was at ebenezer baptist church on election day and people were chanting his name like he was dr. martin luther king jr himself! jeez
he's deffinetly not the next martin luther but that's the beauty in it
i held in my tears as he recited his speech by poking fun at the fact that my mother kept turned her head away while saying "im not crying...", but as i laughed an overwelming feeling came over me. i wasnt sure what it was at the time or how to describe it.
i just sat there
sat there and watched this stunning man who looks like me, thought like you ,and feels like us share the news that he will become the next president of the united sates of america!
whatttttt???
that by far is nothing short of a miracle...
kinda
no, it's not!
it's progression...and sometimes when things seem to be the same for so long what should have been done a loooong time ago seems like a miracle.
the time has come
the time has come that we accept, understand and judge on the content of character
the time is long over due but now it is here
today i can honestly say that we have the power to become
"one nation!"
this one man manifests what america is:
kenyan father, caucasian mother, born in hawaii, lived in indonesia
people of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds
with real struggles, real sucesses and real hearts
coming togeather for one common purpose
our president is real
